Secret Plot to Destroy the Entire Universe - “Montauk”
Secret Plot are a bunch of great fellas from Philly who are/have been in other great bands. I’ve been lucky enough to play some shows with them lately and they somehow get better every time I see them. Daniel also owns great shirts. Anyways, it’s hard to explain their sound, but I’ll try my best to give them justice. It’s kind of a mix between Planes Mistaken For Stars’ “Knife In The Marathon” mixed with earlier On The Might Of Princes, but with more noodly guitar parts. Super crushing vocals and lyrics, especially in “The Montauk Project”. It’s a super solid first EP and I’m really excited to keep seeing/playing with them. Members of the band also run Kat Kat Records and the IHOP house, both of which are doing really awesome things right now, so go buy everything (except for These Branches) from Kat Kat!
